Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tango Deals mobile application, website at tangodealz.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Tango Deals ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading the app, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.

Tango Deals is a marketplace platform that connects consumers ("Customers") with local businesses and service providers ("Vendors") in Sri Lanka. The Service enables:

• Discovery and redemption of deals, discounts, and offers from local businesses
• Search and booking of homestay accommodation, cottages, and short-stay properties
• In-app messaging between Customers and Vendors
• Payment processing for accommodation bookings via PayPal (charged in Australian Dollars)
• Review and rating of businesses and properties

We act as an intermediary platform. We are not a party to any transaction between Customers and Vendors, and are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or availability of listed offers or properties.

You must meet the following requirements to use the Service:

• You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Your use of the Service must comply with all applicable laws in Sri Lanka and your local jurisdiction
• You must not have been previously suspended or removed from the Service

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Notify us immediately at support@tangodealz.com if you suspect unauthorised access
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or any part of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Service
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users or vendors. If you experience harassment, use the in-app Report or Block tools available in any chat conversation
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activities
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass any security or access control measures
• Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam)

Businesses and individuals ("Vendors") who list offers or properties on Tango Deals agree to additional vendor terms. Vendors are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of their listings, offers, and promotions
• Honouring all published deals and booking commitments
• Complying with all applicable Sri Lankan laws, including consumer protection and hospitality regulations
• The quality, safety, and standard of their goods and services
• Holding any required licences, permits, and insurance for their business
• Providing and maintaining a valid PayPal account for receiving accommodation booking payouts. Properties without a verified PayPal email cannot be published.
• Responding to accommodation booking requests within 24 hours of receipt (see Section 7 for consequences of non-response).

We reserve the right to remove any listing or suspend any vendor account that violates these Terms, receives consistent negative reviews, or is reported for fraudulent activity.

7.1 Accommodation bookings — how payment works

Payments for homestay and accommodation bookings are processed through PayPal in Australian Dollars (AUD). Prices in the app are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and converted to AUD at the exchange rate in effect at the moment you complete your booking. That AUD amount is locked for the booking.

A payment processing fee is added to your booking total to cover PayPal's transaction fees and currency-conversion costs. The processing fee is shown to you as a separate line item before you confirm payment.

Booking funds are held by Tango Deals until the day of check-in. On check-in, the vendor receives 95% of the booking subtotal (excluding processing fees). Tango Deals retains a 5% platform service fee.

7.2 Vendor confirmation window

After you pay, the vendor has 24 hours to accept or decline your booking request. One of the following will happen:

• Vendor accepts: Your booking is confirmed and the dates are locked. Funds remain held until check-in.
• Vendor declines: You receive a full refund, including the processing fee. No penalty is charged to you.
• Vendor does not respond within 24 hours: The booking is automatically cancelled and you receive a full refund, including the processing fee. The vendor is charged a Rs. 1,000 non-response fee. After three non-responses, the vendor's account is suspended pending review by Tango Deals administrators.

7.3 Cancellation policy (customer-initiated)

All accommodation bookings on Tango Deals follow a single, uniform cancellation policy. Individual property policies do not apply.

• Before the vendor has accepted: You may cancel any time for a full refund, including the processing fee.
• After vendor acceptance, more than 7 days before check-in: You receive a 95% refund of the booking subtotal. A 5% early-cancellation fee is retained by Tango Deals. Processing fees are not refunded.
• 7 days or fewer before check-in ("late cancellation"): You receive a 50% refund of the booking subtotal. Of the remaining 50%, the vendor receives 40% (compensating them for the lost booking) and Tango Deals retains 10%. Processing fees are not refunded.
• No-show: Treated as a late cancellation. No refund beyond the terms above.

7.4 Cancellations by the vendor

If the vendor cancels a confirmed booking at any time, you receive a full refund of the booking subtotal and processing fee. Vendors who cancel confirmed bookings may be subject to account penalties or suspension.

7.5 Date changes

You may request a date change through the in-app chat with the vendor. The vendor may propose alternative dates subject to availability. When you accept a proposed date change:

• No cancellation fee is charged.
• If the new dates are more expensive than the original booking, you must pay the difference through PayPal to confirm the change.
• Date changes to cheaper periods are not supported. Refunds are not issued for price differences on date changes.

If you do not accept the proposed dates, your original booking remains in place and is still subject to the cancellation policy in Section 7.3.

7.6 Damage deposits

Some properties require a damage or security deposit. This deposit is not collected through the app or Tango Deals. Where applicable, the deposit amount is clearly disclosed on the property listing and is collected directly by the vendor at check-in and returned to you at check-out, subject to inspection. Any dispute over the deposit is between you and the vendor; Tango Deals is not a party to and does not mediate deposit disputes.

7.7 Currency and exchange rates

Because your payment is charged in AUD but the vendor receives payout in AUD converted back to LKR at check-in, exchange-rate movement between the booking date and check-in date is absorbed by Tango Deals and does not affect the amount you paid or the amount the vendor receives in LKR terms.

7.8 Discount offers and deals

Refunds for deals, vouchers, and discount offers (as distinct from accommodation bookings) are subject to the individual vendor's refund policy. Tango Deals does not guarantee refunds for redeemed offers.

7.9 Disputes

If you have a payment dispute, contact us at support@tangodealz.com. We will review the dispute and, where appropriate, mediate between the parties. Our decision on disputes is final.

By submitting a review, message, photo, or any other content ("User Content") to the Service, you grant Tango Deals a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You represent that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights and complies with these Terms. We reserve the right to remove User Content that is false, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.

Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experiences. Incentivised or fake reviews are strictly prohibited.

The Service, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and all content created by Tango Deals, is the exclusive property of Tango Deals and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

The Service integrates with and may link to third-party services including PayPal, Google, and social media platforms. These services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) any deal, offer, or listing on the Service is accurate, available, or will be honoured by the vendor; (c) any defects will be corrected.

You use the Service at your own risk. Tango Deals is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any goods or services provided by vendors listed on the Service.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TANGO DEALS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
• Any transaction or interaction with a vendor

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) LKR 10,000 or (b) the total amount paid by you through the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tango Deals, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any User Content you submit.

Tango Deals provides tools to help users manage their experience and keep the community safe.

Reporting: You may report any user whose conduct violates these Terms by using the "Report User" option in any chat conversation. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We may take action including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal of the reported account. Reports are confidential.

Blocking: You may block any user to prevent them from contacting you or viewing your profile. Blocking is immediate and reversible from your account settings.

Moderation decisions: We reserve the right to remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. Moderation decisions may be appealed by contacting support@tangodealz.com.

Misuse of the report feature (e.g. filing false reports to harass other users) is itself a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time directly from the app (Profile → Account → Delete Account), or by contacting support@tangodealz.com.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
